"LIGET I BRANDTOMTEN" — "The Body in the Burnt-Out Farm" — is an episode of the Danish true crime podcast Danske Drabssager (Danish Homicide Cases), in which crime reporter Stine Bolther works through a real murder investigation from beginning to end with experts who were close to the case.

The episode centres on a murdered woman found buried on a slope in a small wood on Store Bededag (Great Prayer Day, a Danish public holiday) in 1996. At the same time, a farm stood in flames, and a woman reported missing formed part of the investigation.

The episode follows the homicide detectives, forensic pathologists and crime scene technicians who tried to establish who the woman was, why she had to die, and what enemies she had. Along the way the case takes a surprising turn: the perpetrator proves to have far more on his conscience than was first understood — something that emerged after he had already served his sentence.

Bolther is joined by Bent Isager-Nielsen, former police inspector and head of homicide at Rejseholdet, the Danish national mobile investigation unit; Jesper Rubow, special prosecutor with East Jutland Police; Hans Petter Hougen, professor of forensic medicine; and crime scene technician Bent Hytholm Jensen.

The episode was recorded live on the stage of Rigspolitiet, the Danish National Police, at Folkemødet, the annual political and public festival held on the island of Bornholm, on 13 June 2026.
