"Episode 328: Blodbad på togstation og dobbeltmord efter bytur" is an instalment of Mørkeland, a Danish true crime podcast that since 2018 has examined some of the darkest criminal cases in Denmark. This episode deals with two separate stories: a cold-blooded double murder committed after an engagement was called off, and a night-time assault in Copenhagen in which a random passer-by became the victim.

The first case concerns a young woman who decided to end her relationship with her fiancé. He struggled to accept the break-up and initially persuaded her to keep her engagement ring. When she later made it clear that the relationship was over — after a long period of hot-tempered and smothering behaviour on his part — he began laying a cold-blooded plan that would end in deaths.

The second case follows a detective who, while off duty, came across a woman lying fatally injured in a gateway. His first instinct was to help her, and he moved closer in the darkness — but was suddenly attacked from behind by an unknown assailant.

For listeners who want to go straight to a particular story, the first case begins at 00:09:42 and the second at 00:35:40.

Mørkeland is hosted by Camilla Bjerregaard Aurvig and Kristine Sofie Bugbee, who produce the series together with a third journalist. The episode is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Podimo, a subscription podcast platform. Assistant editing is by Anders Eske, and the music comes from Bensound.

Listener note: the episode contains references to suicide.
