Child Killer: The Oakland County Child Killer Case

The 2019 documentary series Child Killer investigates one of Michigan's most disturbing unsolved criminal cases. Between 1976 and 1977, four children were abducted, abused, and murdered in Oakland County - a series of crimes that shocked the entire United States and left a lasting mark on the local community.

The series traces the systematic investigations into the murders of Mark Stebbins, Jill Robinson, Kristine Mihelich, and Timothy King. All four children were held captive for days before their bodies were found, deliberately placed in visible locations. The unusual method pointed to a cold and calculating perpetrator.

The documentary series interviews investigators, family members, and experts who are still fighting for answers. Particular focus is given to the many theories about the perpetrator - or perpetrators - as well as potential leads that were never fully pursued.

Child Killer also sheds light on the long-term consequences for the community, where parents' trust in the world around them was shattered. The cases remain unsolved to this day, though DNA technology and renewed interest have given new hope of finding justice for the four victims and their families.
