the occupation

"Spionmordet i Kongelunden" ("The Spy Murder in Kongelunden") is an episode of the Danish true crime podcast Danske Drabssager, hosted here by police historian Anders Brandt Lundager. It examines a 1936 case involving a secret communist network in Copenhagen, a suspected traitor who disappeared, and a body that was later dug up and disposed of.

Between 1940 and 1945, Danish resistance fighters executed approximately 400 alleged Nazi collaborators without trial. A new investigation into these killings reveals a troubling truth: only 13% of victims were actual informants. The rest died from suspicion, revenge, or political calculation.
