Spy War in Ringsted

Spionkrigen i Ringsted is a DRTV documentary series about a 2018 Iranian assassination plot against an ASMLA leader in Ringsted, Denmark, and the sprawling espionage network it exposed.

On April 16, 1985, Aldrich Ames, a CIA counterintelligence officer with 31 years of service, walked into the Soviet Embassy in Washington, D.C., and offered secrets to the KGB. What began as a calculated scheme to solve his financial troubles became a nine-year espionage operation that would rank among the most damaging intelligence breaches in American history.

In April 1974, West German authorities arrested Günter Guillaume, an East German Stasi spy who had spent years embedded in the highest levels of Chancellor Willy Brandt's government. The scandal that followed would shake West Germany's political establishment and force Brandt's resignation just days later.
