The Recipe for a Killer [1:3] – Ekstra Bladet's I hovedet på…

"Opskriften på en drabsmand [1:3]" – "The Recipe for a Killer" – is the first episode in a three-part series from I hovedet på…, the criminal-psychology podcast made by the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet. It traces Peter Lundin's arrival in Denmark in 1999, after he had served a prison sentence in the United States for the fatal assault on his mother.

In Copenhagen, Lundin met Marianne Pedersen at a brothel. The episode presents that encounter as the turning point that would prove fatal for Marianne and for her two young sons.

**The case behind the episode**

The case, known in Denmark as the one in which Peter Lundin killed three people and received a life sentence, concerns the murders of Marianne Pedersen and her sons Brian and Dennis. They were killed in Rødovre, Denmark, on 17 June 2000. The perpetrator was Marianne's live-in partner, Peter Kenneth Bostrøm Lundin, who on 15 March 2001 was sentenced to life imprisonment.
