A Death in Belmont

Sebastian Junger revisits a 1963 unsolved murder in his Boston suburb, committed while a handyman later connected to the Boston Strangler case worked at his family home. The book closely questions whether Roy Smith, a Black man swiftly convicted and imprisoned, was wrongly executed for a killing that may have been carried out by Albert DeSalvo.
