Albert Fish

The documentary tells the story of Albert Fish, the American serial killer, cannibal and child predator who terrorized the United States in the early 20th century. Director John Borowski presents a detailed portrait of a man whose crimes shocked even seasoned criminal investigators.

Fish was born in 1870 and began his criminal career early in life. The documentary traces his path from a neglected childhood to becoming one of history's most depraved murderers. He himself admitted to molesting more than 100 children and killing at least five, though the actual number was likely higher.

The film focuses in particular on the 1928 murder of ten-year-old Grace Budd, the crime that ultimately led to his arrest and conviction. Borowski draws on archival material, police reports and interviews to paint a chilling picture of Fish's psychopathy.

The documentary also explores the psychological dimensions of Fish's personality, including his religious mania and masochistic tendencies. Fish was executed in the electric chair in 1936. The film serves as a historical account of one of criminal history's most disturbed figures.
