Bill Cosby Convicted of Sexual Assault After Decades of Allegations

Bill Cosby was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault on April 26, 2018, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, marking one of the most high-profile sexual assault convictions of the #MeToo movement era.

The charges centered on allegations made by Andrea Constand, who accused Cosby of assaulting her in January 2004. In 2026, another civil case concluded when a jury found Cosby liable in the case brought by Donna Motsinger, who alleged he drugged and raped her in 1972. That verdict resulted in damages of $19.25 million.

The allegations against Cosby extend far beyond these cases. More than 60 women have come forward with accusations of sexual assault spanning decades. In 2023 alone, nine additional civil suits were filed against the entertainer, keeping legal proceedings ongoing.
