On December 14, 2023, Kristil Krug, 43, was found brutally murdered in her Broomfield, Colorado garage. Her husband, Daniel Bartholomew Krug, 44, had spent two months impersonating her ex-boyfriend online before executing a meticulously planned killing designed to frame an innocent man.

Kimberly Mitchell and Katie Arnold launched A Date With Dateline, an English-language podcast offering recap and commentary on Dateline NBC episodes.
