In spring 2012, a teacher trainee named Dirk P. poisoned three men with GBL — commonly known as Liquid Ecstasy — at a Berlin bar with a darkroom and in victims' private apartments. He was convicted of triple murder in June 2013 and sentenced to life in prison.
