San Patrignano

SanPa: Sins of the Savior is a Netflix docuseries about San Patrignano, a drug rehab commune in Italy, and the violence and murder allegations surrounding its founder Vincenzo Muccioli.

The San Patrignano case is an Italian homicide in which Roberto Maranzano, a drug-dependent man from Palermo, was beaten to death inside a rehabilitation community in 1989 by seven fellow residents.

From Nazi pedophile cult rings to doomsday murder cases and drug rehabilitation communes turned prisons, these seven podcast episodes expose the darkest corners of cult and sect culture. Selected by the truecrime.news editorial team based on episodes that deal directly with high-control groups, sect-related crimes, and the psychology of manipulation.
