Peggy Knobloch

Investigative journalist Marc Thiel has analyzed over 20,000 pages of police documents, proving that Ulvi Kulac was wrongly convicted of Peggy's murder. The case was reopened in 2023 with new DNA technology.

On 7 May 2001, nine-year-old Peggy Knobloch vanished while walking home from school in Lichtenberg, Bavaria, just 50 metres from her house. Fifteen years later, her remains were discovered in a forest—but the case remains unsolved, marked by false confessions, bungled investigations, and lingering questions.
