About This Episode
What is this episode about?
The episode "BONUS: Beyond the Hunt" from Someone's Hunting Us is a behind-the-scenes conversation about making the podcast's investigation into Khalil Wheeler-Weaver, the New Jersey serial killer who stalked victims in person and through dating apps. Executive producer Christopher Kelly sits down with hosts Daysi Calavia-Robertson and Rebecca Everett to talk through their reporting process, including their direct contact with the serial killer himself and their interviews with victims' loved ones. The conversation also addresses why Black serial killers and their victims are so often overlooked by both law enforcement and the media. The episode closes with an update on the upcoming murder trial concerning the youngest victim, 15-year-old Mawa Doumbia.
