About This Episode
What is this episode about?
The episode "Gone Hunting | She Was In My Head | S4-E7" from Over My Dead Body brings together two experts with sharply different perspectives on Denise. Jennifer Portman speaks with former FBI profiler Candice DeLong, host of Killer Psyche, and Professor Jane Monckton-Smith, a leading researcher into coercive control, to unpack how each of them reads Denise's actions and motivations.
The conversation sets up a deliberate contrast between two analytical frameworks: DeLong's background in criminal profiling and Monckton-Smith's expertise in coercive control dynamics. By pairing these two voices, the episode invites listeners to weigh competing interpretations of the same case rather than settling on a single narrative.
