Du er ikke alene: Denmark's Listener-Driven Horror Podcast

Du er ikke alene—a Danish phrase meaning "You are not alone"—is a horror anthology podcast that takes a crowdsourced approach to storytelling. Rather than investigating verified crimes or documenting true criminal cases, the show focuses on collecting supernatural and frightening narratives directly from its audience.

The podcast is hosted by Camilla Bjerregaard Aurvig and Kristine Sofie Bugbee, who are also involved with Mørkeland, another Danish podcast production. The hosting team presents listener submissions as a horror anthology, creating a platform where Danish speakers can share personal accounts of unexplained and disturbing experiences.

Du er ikke alene operates on a seasonal release schedule and has built its distribution across major international podcast platforms. The show is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Podbean, and RadioPlay.dk, making it accessible to both Danish-speaking audiences and international listeners interested in horror content.

For those interested in contributing their own stories, submissions can be sent to duerikkealene@moerkeland.dk. This community-driven model reflects a growing trend in podcast production where audience participation forms the foundation of the content strategy.

The series distinguishes itself from traditional true crime podcasts by emphasizing anecdotal horror narratives rather than documented criminal cases with verified dates, verdicts, or official records. This approach appeals to listeners seeking supernatural and unexplained phenomena rather than factual crime reporting.

As an international publication focused on verified true crime cases, TrueCrime.News notes that Du er ikke alene should be understood within the horror fiction and entertainment podcast category rather than as a source of documented criminal investigations or verified criminal cases.
