The documentary series 'The Bible John Mystery' on Crime+Investigation UK explores one of Scotland's most notorious unsolved criminal cases. Bible John is the codename given to an unidentified serial killer who committed three murders of young women in Glasgow between February 1968 and October 1969.

The victims - Patricia Docker, Jemima McDonald, and Helen Puttock - were all found murdered after visiting the Barrowland Ballroom, a popular dance hall in the city. The only surviving eyewitness described the perpetrator as a well-dressed man who quoted the Bible - hence the name Bible John.

Despite an extensive investigation and one of Britain's largest manhunts ever, the killer remains unidentified. The series reviews the evidence, interviews experts, and examines the many theories that have emerged over the years. Several suspects have been named, including the late serial killer Peter Tobin, but no one has ever been convicted.

The documentary series sheds new light on the cold case and asks the question: can Bible John's identity still be revealed more than 50 years later?
